Toshiba Launches 22.2" LCD With a Resolution of 3,840 x 2,400

Toshiba Solutions Ltd today announced the release of a 22" LCD display with a resolution of 3840x2400 or WQUXGA-W, addressing the need for high-resolution displays in pro and commercial systems. The Super high-resolution display features a pixel pitch of 0.1245 mm and it can be used as a map display, part of aerial photography systems, document display or product information systems, Toshiba says.

The display also supports 16.77 million colors, a brightness of 235cd/square m, and its contrast is 300:1.

Toshiba plans to ship the new display in the second quarter of 2008, at an MSRP of 2,079,000 Yen ($ 18,098).
