Panasonic Begins Delivery of P-01A Handsets to NTT DOCOMO

Panasonic Mobile announced today that the company has begun shipments of its docomo PRIME seriesTM P-01A mobile phones to NTT DOCOMO,INC.

The P-01A is a two-way handset just like the P905i, featuring a newly developed 'two-way key' that switches the keyboard's display and arrangement automatically according to whether the handset is opened vertically or horizontally. With this transversely-aligned keyboard, users can now easily enter texts with the handset opened horizontally.

The handset employs Panasonic's original high-resolution technologies such as the "Mobile PEAKS PROCESSOR," including "Mobile Double Contrast AI" that achieves a high contrast ratio of 6000:1, providing high resolution "One-Segment" mobile TV pictures.

Combining the design concept and high-quality picture technologies of Panasonic's flat-panel "VIERA" TVs, the P-01A is a mobile TV phone that adopts the frame conversion technology, "Mobile Double Speed," from 15 frames to 30 frames per second, delivering high-quality TV images on a 3.1 inch Full Wide VGA large screen.

In addition to an autofocus 5.1 megapixels camera that allows high-sensitive shooting, the P-01A also features preinstalled horizontal UI contents including KINGDOM HEARTS coded and i-appli "Family Message Board" that enables family members and friends to share messages and schedules between their mobile phones and "VIERA" TVs at home.
