Samsung Wave II Hits UK Stores


Samsung's new flagship Bada-based smartphone, the Wave II (GT-S8530) is hitting the UK stores.

Featuring a 5megapixel autofocus camera with flash, the new handset benefits from improved social networking integration via Samsung's Social Hub which means people can sync their phonebook with their social network, Instant Messenger and email accounts.

The Samsung Wave II is a a super-slim 11.8mm smarphone and it features a 3.7" Super Clear LCD display. Running on Samsung's latest OS Bada 1.2, the new handset also comes with front facing HD video capture and playback which supports multiple platforms for easy viewing of different movie file types.

In addition, Samsung is offering a free entertainment package for anyone buying the new Wave II handset until 31st March 2011. Designed for gamers, the bundle includes five of the most recognisable and highest ranking apps in the paid for charts from Gameloft and EA Games, which are available from Samsung Apps. The bundle includes; Need for Speed: Shift; FIFA 10; Monopoly; Tetris and Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles.

The Samsung Wave II is available in the UK to buy now from O2 and Phones4u.
