Taiwan Mobile Releases The Low-cost A5 Phone

Taiwan Mobile and Hon Hai on Monday released in Taiwan the A5 smartphone.

The A5 features a 4.3-inch display and a 1GB dual-core processor. The device will go on sale from mid-July at NT$3,990 (US$134) for a contract-free model.

Taiwan Mobile also launched another three own-branded phones with screen sizes of 3.5, 4 and 5 inches, in cooperation with Chinese handset maker ZTE, the company said.
