New Business Offerings From HP

Today, HP announced new additions to their family. The HP EliteBook 800 series, HP ProBook 600 series, and HP ProBook 400 series are designed to keep your business safe & secure. And, if you are already a proud owner of a HP ElitePad (or are evaluating them for your business), then take note that HP is also announcing a Security Smart Jacket.

HP EliteBook 800 series

Featuring a durable magnesium unibody chassis and optional backlit keyboard, the new HP EliteBook 800 series of notebooks are ready for the daily grind.

There are three flavors in the EliteBook 800 series.

The smallest and lightest is the EliteBook 820 G1 featuring a 12" screen. It weighs less than three pounds (it is up to 35% thinner and 18% lighter than previous generations) and can easily slip into your briefcase.

Featuring an optional Slice Battery, the EliteBook 840 G1 boost up to 33 hours of battery life. This 14" notebook has an optional touchscreen which will make Windows 8 Pro really come to life.

Sometimes you want a big screen to see multiple documents at once, and that is when the EliteBook 850 G1 comes in handy. It features a 15.6" screen and is powered by Intel’s latest processors.

HP ProBook 600 series

The HP ProBook 600 series is designed for a very high level of IT configurability. Optional 4G LTE WWAN will keep your business and employees connected and working from wherever they may be.

This series offers a range of screen sizes - including 14 & 15.6" and processors from both Intel and AMD.

HP ProBook 400 series

The ProBook 400 series is featuring an all-metal keyboard deck and meteorite gray chassis with soft touch finish. All three versions of these notebooks feature the latest fourth generation Core processor from Intel, while the 15" version also offers an optional touchscreen.

HP Security Smart Jacket

If you are already sporting a HP ElitePad 900, a new Security Jacket is now available. This new jacket allows for device and network access for only those who are approved through single- or multi-factor user authentication.

Designed for government, healthcare, and other businesses that have security needs, this new jacket includes a Smart Card Reader, USB 3.0, and HDMI ports for extra connectivity.

The HP EliteBook 800 series and HP ProBook 400 series are now available in the US starting at $799 and $499 respectively. The HP ProBook 600 series is expected to start becoming available on November 18th. And last but not least, the HP Security Jacket for the ElitePad is available now, starting at $249.
