Nokia X Set To Become A Big Hit In China
Nokia says that it has already received 1 million pre-orders for the its Android-based
Nokia X
phone in China, 11 days before it officially goes on sale.
Nokia made the announcement through its
Weibo account
(Chinese).
Officially launched at the Mobile World Congress in February,
Nokia's Nokia X phones use a 'forked' version of the Android operating system, which is not connected to Google's cloud services. Instead, the operating system points users to Nokia Here Maps and Microsoft's Bing search engine as well as a Nokia developed app store.
The handset is already on sale in Malaysia and will officially hit the shelves in India on Saturday.
