Google Reportedly Dumps Nexus For Silver

A recent report claims that Google will drop its own line of Nexus Android handsets in favor of a new program that encourage phone makers build their own high-quality devices.

According to sources that spoke to The Information, the "Android Silver" program will try to convince handset makers create well-designed phones based on premium internal components, following specifications set by Google.

Google has not confirmed the rumored plans.
