Google Does Not Confirm to $1 Billion Acquisition Of Twitch


Google has reporteddly reached a deal to acquire Twitch for $1 billion, although Google remains silent on the deal.

VentureBeat reported that the purchase will be completed through the tech giant's YouTube division.

San Francisco-based Twitch is a live-streaming platform that allows people to broadcast their video gaming to online audiences.
It is popular in the field of e-sports, with several competition organizers including Riot Games using the platform to stream their events to international audiences. Twitch currently has more than 50 million monthly active users.
