Sony To unveil New Playstation Neo In September 7th Event

It looks like we could finally see what Sony has up its sleeve for the future of PlayStation next month.

Members of the press have received invitations to a "PlayStation Meeting" scheduled for September 7th at 3pm Eastern. The event will be held at the PlayStation Theater in New York.

Sony is expected to announce the revamped PlayStation 4, codenamed "Neo." You can expect to pack an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive like the Xbox One S , along with an "update on the PlayStation business," according to Sony's comments.

Previous reports hinted at a powerful Sony PlayStation 4.5 or "Neo" that will be sold alongside the existing PS4. The new console will pack strong graphics in order to output both video and games at up to 4K resolution. It is expected to be more expensive than the base model, and all new games will work on both systems.
