Belkin introduces FireWire-to-SCSI Adapter


"...Belkin Components today announced that it has expanded its FireWire line with two new products. The Belkin 4-port FireWire hub (F5U524) and Belkin FireWire-to-SCSI Adapter (F5U541) join a prized line of Belkin FireWire products that include the FireWire PCI Card and FireWire device cable.

The Belkin FireWire-to-SCSI Adapter is the perfect device for the Mac or PC user using a computer with FireWire capabilities but who still wants to use legacy SCSI devices. Compatible with IEEE 1394 specifications, the Belkin FireWire-to-SCSI Adapter is SBP2-compliant, works with generic drivers, and supports SCSI and SCSI2 devices such as hard disk drives, Jaz and Zip removable disk drives, scanners, MO, CD-ROM, CD-R, and CD-RW. The Belkin 4-port FireWire hub and the Belkin FireWire-to-SCSI Adapter will be ready to ship in December 2000 and will have an MSRP of $89.99 and $119.99 respectively..."
