LG will update its the G4 and V10 smartphones with the latest Android operating system (OS).
LG plans to offer the upgrade of the OS with Android 7.0 for the V10 in the second half of this year and for the G4 in the third quarter, the company said. The schedule applies to phones sold in South Korea, but consumers abroad will follow.
The G4 had its OS updated twice since its debut in 2014. The V10 was released in October and also has had two OS updates.
The company had initially announced plans to discontinue updates, saying the specific phones are not optimized with the latest Android version.
