Geforce and Radeon gamers may be interested in the latest beta drivers released by Nvidia and AMD, respectively. Both packages improve performance with latest games.
In conjunction with a game patch that Crystal Dynamics for Tomb Raider released earlier today, Nvidia recommends that GeForce users update to the new
GeForce 314.21 drivers
. They are promising to provide major gains in reliability and performance in the game ? delivering an average of 45% and up to 60% performance improvements (as measured with GeForce GTX 680 at 1920?1080 and 2560?1600 resolutions).
For Radeon users, AMD has made available the
AMD Catalyst 13.3 Beta Driver
for Windows, which offer:
- Improve performance in Sim City 5 up to 16 percent
- Improves performance in Far Cry 3 up to 5 percent
- Improves latency performance issues seen in Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution
- Resolves slight corruption seen in Tomb Raider with TressFX enabled for CrossFire and single GPU configurations
