 Microsoft Surface Pro Revealed In Japan With A 256GB SSD

Message Text: Microsoft has released its Surface Pro to Japan and has included an option for larger storage.

A 256GB model will go on sale in the country on June 7th. Previously, Microsoft had been offering the Pro version of its tablets with 64GB and 128GB storage options.

The Japanese Surface Pro is powered by an Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7GHz, onboard video) CPU, it has 4GB of memory, Intel HM77 Express chipset and a 10.6-inch full-HD display with (orning Gorilla Glass. The available interfaces include USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort, microSDXC memory card slot, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.0. The device also features a 720 p HD LifeCam (front and back), a microphone and a headphone stereo mini jack. I has also a light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope and a compass built in.

The Japanese edition of the Surface Pro ships with Office Home and Business 2013 pre-installed, and will feature a contest at launch to win one of 100 limited edition Touch Covers from local brands including Beams, Moussy, RodeoCrowns, and Rienda.

The 128GB model costs 99,800 yen ($975) and the 256GB will sell for 119,800 yen ($1,170).
