Message Text: Google seems to be avoiding getting involved in a price war with Amazon.com, Acer and Asus in the tablet market, as the latest reports indicate that The Nexus 7 tablet will be priced at $299.

The second-generation Nexus 7 tablet is expected to make its official debut in July. According to Digitimes, Google is seeking to avoid direct competition with entry-level, sub-$200 tablets such as the Acer ICONIA and the ASUS MeMoPad range. Instead, the Nexus 7 seems to be positioned to compete with Amazon's Kindle Fire HD, which currently retails for $199, as well as the more expensive Apple iPad Mini ($329).

The new Nexus 7 is expected to feature a full HD screen, a rear-facing camera, induction wireless charging and a slightly thinner and lighter shell. It will run on the next version of Android and will also be 4G LTE compatible powered by a Qualcomm processor.
