Taiwan's Hon Hai Precision Industry - better known by its trading name Foxconn - showcased a smartwatch on Wednesday that can be connected wirelessly to an iPhone.
The device can be used to measure the user's signs such as respiration and heartbeat, as well as to check phone calls and Facebook posts, Hon Hai executives said. Hon Hai also plans top add new features such as fingerprint identification to the gadget in the future, to help record personal health data.
Apple is also expected to launch a similar device, the iWatch, later this year. This one could be partially an answer to Google' s Glass device.
Earlier this week sone also unveiled Smartwatch 2, the second generation of its device that can be wirelessly connected to Xperia smartphones and display information.
