Message Text: Motorola has started promoting the upcoming Moto X focus smartphone, the company's first "made in U.S.A." phone since Google acquired it.

Ads of the Moto X smartphone have started to appear today in newspapers. On Motorola's website, ads focus on the user's 'freedom to design' his/her own unique smartphone. It's unclear if that means aesthetic customizations, software options or both.

Motorola CEO said in May that the phone would be released before October. He also said the smartphone was smart enough to launch the camera app automatically when it determined the user was likely to take a picture next.

Moto X will reportedly run Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and feature a 4.7-in. 720p touchscreen display. It is also expected to have a 1.7 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, NFC along with a 10-megapixel rear camera and 2 megapixel front camera, according to reports.

Motorola said that more than 2000 new employees in Ft. Worth, TX would be working on the new device.

The Motorola promotions say the Moto X is "coming soon."
