Message Text: UK supermarket Tesco is jumping into the competitive market for tablet computers with the new Android-operated Hudl tablet.

The Hudl tablet will sell for 119 pounds ($190). It will be priced at less than 100 pounds for Tesco Clubcard members.

The tablet is equipped with Wi-Fi,Bluetooth, a 1440 by 900 display screen, a 1.5GHz processor and the 16GB of integrated storage. The tablet runs Android 4.2.2 and Tesco wants it "to open up a world of entertainment and connectivity to all". It is priced well to compete with the likes of the Nexus 7.

The Hudl is not available just yet -- Tesco is whipping up a little hype and interest ahead of the on-sale date -- but it can be picked up in around 1,000 Tesco stores, as well as online, from 30 September.

It will be available only in the U.K., at Tesco stores and online, from Sep. 30.
