Technology giants will showcase their new products in Korea this week at the Korea Electronics Show (KES), which will run from Oct. 7 to Oct. 10 in the KINTEX Convention Center in Goyang.
The Korean counterpart to the CES will offer a perfect stage for local technology giants including Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics and SK Hynix to showcase their latest products and technologies.
Samsung Electronics will exhibit a 55-inch curved organic light-emitting diode (OLED) television. The company will also display an 85-inch ultra high-definition TV (UHD) and is preparing for the launch of another 110-inch model.
Samsung Display will also showcase 98-inch and 85-inch LCD panels using a 240 hertz tech - an industry's first. The company also plans to entice visitors with displaying various display solutions such as a 55-inch UHD OLED panel, a 31.5-inch UHD LCD display and a 5.7-inch OLED for smartphones with full HD viewing quality.
LG Electronics is set to bring its G2 smartphone, as well as its its 77-inch curved UHD OLED TV and UHD TVs.
U.S.-based mobile chip giant Qualcomm will also participate at this year's KES for the first time, with its Snapdragon 800 processor chip for tablets and smartphones.
