Message Text: Amazon has released a software update for the new Kindle Paperwhite that brings features including Goodreads integration and Kindle FreeTime.

This free, over-the-air software update will be delivered automatically in the coming weeks, or can be downloaded at www.amazon.com/kindlesoftwareupdates.

Goodreads on Kindle Paperwhite brings together the popular e-reading community and Amazon's community of book lovers.

Amazon has already added Goodreads to its Kindle tablets with the recent release of the Fire OS 3.1.

With Kindle FreeTime, parents have a simple way to encourage kids to spend more time reading. They can set daily reading goals for their kids, hand-select books for their kids to read, and track progress against goals. Children earn achievement badges for hitting reading milestones?for example, reaching and exceeding their daily reading goal, and passing big milestones like "Read 1000 pages".

Amazon also today announced that following its Friday debut, Alpha House was the number one most-watched show on Amazon through the weekend.

The series, written by Garry Trudeau, is available exclusively at www.amazon.com/instantvideo and on the Amazon Instant Video app for Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, Roku, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Wii U, as well as hundreds of other connected devices.

The first three episodes of Alpha House are available for free for all Amazon customers. Beginning this Friday, one new episode will become available each week, exclusively on Prime Instant Video, with episode four available on November 22.

Amazon will debut its second original series, Betas, this Friday. The first three episodes of Betas will be available for free for all Amazon customers. After that, one new episode will become available each week, exclusively on Prime Instant Video, with episode four available on November 29.
