Intel Introduces New Celeron And Extreme Edition CPUs

Intel's updated list of CPUs for OEMs includes ten new mobile offerings including five Core i7 models, four Core i5s and one Celeron chip.
The new Core i7-4940MX Extreme Edition features 4 cores clocked at 3.1 GHz and is listed for $1,096. This model takes the top spot in Intel's mobile line-up, pushing aside the 3.0 GHz i7-4930X.
The updated i7 Core series also includes the Core i7-4910MQ (2.9GHz, 4 cores / 8 threads, L3 8MB - $568,) the Core i7-4810MQ (2.8GHz, 4 cores / 8 threads, L3 6MB - $378,) the Core i7-4610M (3GHz, 2 cores / 4 threads, L3 4MB - $ 46) and the Core i7-4860HQ (2.4GHz, 4 cores / 8 threads, L3 6MB - $434.)
The i5 series Core series includes the $266 Core i5-4340M (2.9GHz, 2 cores / 4 threads, L3 3MB,) the $225 Core i5-4310M (2.7GHz, 2 cores / 4 threads, 2 model of L3 3MB,) the $315 Core i5-4360U (1.5GHz, 2 cores / 4 threads, L3 3MB) and the ultra-low voltage Core i5-4310U (2GHz, 2 cores / 4 threads, L3 3MB -$281).
The ultra-low voltage Celeron 2961Y (1.1GHz, 2 core / 2 thread, L3 2MB - $107)chip has been also added to the list.
