Nvidia expects to report first quarter earnings of $136.5 million, on revenue of $1.1 billion, up 16 percent from a year ago. Non-GAAP earnings for the quarter were 29 cents a share.

The company released its earning two days ahead of schedule after inadvertently sending them out to a mailing list of 100 people, it said.

Nvidia didn't offer any other indicators about the quarter and said it will hold a conference call on Thursday when it was originally scheduled to report.
