These models will be available for sale at Sony authorized retailers including Best Buy and Amazon.

The X900F series features the 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme, which incorporates three technologies that improve picture quality: Object-based HDR remaster, Super Bit Mapping 4K HDR and Dual database processing. Sony claims that the X-tended Dynamic Range PRO 6x technology ensures dark scenes are darker and bright scenes brighter with up to six times the contrast of conventional LED TVs. Sony's newest technology, X-Motion Clarity, helps keep fast action smooth and clear with images precisely controlled to minimize blur with no loss in brightness. A TRILUMINOS Display maps colors from a wider palette, reproducing every shade and hue to provide real-world colors.

The X900F 4K HDR Ultra HD TVs will support Dolby Vision via a firmware update to be delivered later this year.

The X850F series features the 4K HDR Processor X1, which together with 4K X-Reality PRO up-scales Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) content to near 4K High Dynamic Range (HDR) quality. Object-based HDR Remaster technology can detect, analyze and optimize each object in the picture individually to adjust the overall contrast. The series use TRILUMINOS Displays and 4K HDR Super Bit Mapping.

Both new series are Android TVs, meaning viewers have access to apps from Google Play, including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, Pandora and more. To integrate into the smart home, both the X900F 4K HDR Ultra HD TVs and X850F Series have Google Assistant built-in. The Google Assistant on Sony's Android TV works just by pushing the microphone button on the remote and using your voice to ask a question or say a command. This allows users to seamlessly playback or search for content, play music or stream photos, or control some smart home devices through their Sony TV.
