TEAC's DVR-50E DVD-R/DVD-RW and CD-RW recorder made its appearance in Japan! Local stores started taking orders at an estimated price of 24800 YEN (~ $200)! The drive supports 4X DVD-R, 2X DVD-RW, 16X writing (CD-R), 8X re-writing (CD-RW), 40X reading (CD) and 8X reading (DVD). Rumours said that the new TEAC DVD writer would be a Pioneer DVR-A05 OEM drive, with however lower price...
