Message Text: The Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA) announced that it is hosting Optical Storage Symposium 2003, to be held Oct. 13 and 14, 2003, at the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif.

The event is co-located with the Consumer Electronics Associations Industry Forum to enable attendees from both conferences to attend selected joint activities, including an important panel, Code Blue, on the future of Blue Laser Technology. OSS 3003 attendees will also have full access to the joint CEA/OSS Marketplace exhibit area.

Perry Solomon, President and CEO of Alera Technologies and moderator of the Code Blue panel stated, "With the promise of additional speed and huge storage capacities, Blue Laser Technology is an important consideration for the success of future computer and consumer electronics products. This will be an exciting opportunity to hear the viewpoints of key industry experts from multiple disciplines."

Code Blue Panel: 10:15 a.m., Tuesday October 14. From the creators and first movers of both the content and the technology, this session focuses on Blue Laser Facts and Fiction. A unique opportunity to interface with the experts on critical issues such as the potential for format wars is it Dj Vu All Over Again? Learn about the issues and opportunities in the process of commercializing Blue Laser Technology from those on the bleeding edge.
