NVIDIA SHIELD Shipping July 31

After a delay due to a mechanical issue with a third party component supplier Nvidia Shield's handheld gaming console will be shipped out on July 31.

You can experience SHIELD for yourself at SHIELD Experience Centers at select GameStop, Microcenter and Canada Computers brick-and-mortar locations in the U.S. and Canada.

The Shield is Nvidia's first handheld game console. It has a five-inch, 1280x720 screen, a Tegra 4 processor, 2GB of RAM, a built-in Xbox-style controller, and an HDMI output with support for 4K displays. In addition to running Android games, the Shield is capable of streaming PC titles from a PC equipped with a Gefirce graphics card. The battery is rated for 5-10 hours of gameplay and up to 24 hours of video playback. Nvidia will charge $299 for the Shield
