ASUS today at IFA announced Zenbook UX301 and UX302 flagship Ultrabooks, the X102BA ultraportable with 10.1-inch display, the Transformer Book T300, Transformer Book Trio 'Three-in-One' ultraportable, new MeMO Pad 8 and MeMO Pad 10 tablets, next-Generation Fonepad 7, the Fonepad Note 6 and the new Transformer Pad TF701T.

Zenbook UX301 and UX302

The Zenbook UX301 and UX302 are Asus' new flagship Ultrabooks coming with a sleek design and a lid protected by scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance.

Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has the same durability and thinness as Gorilla Glass 2, but Corning's proprietary NDR glass composition gives superior scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility and improved toughness. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 has three times the scratch resistance of Gorilla Glass 2 and offers a 40% reduction in the number of highly visible scratches, with a 40% improvement in retained strength if a deep scratch does occur.

A 13.3-inch display available with a 1920 x 1080 Full HD and 2560 x 1440 WQHD resolution means the new ASUS Zenbook gives sharp images and text. IPS (In-Plane Switching) display technology also ensures rich color with wide 178-degree viewing angles, while 10-point multi-touch gives responsive fingertip control with Windows 8.

The new Zenbook is powered by 4th generation Intel Core processors. A high-end 28W Core i7-4558U dual-core option makes light work of even the most demanding applications, while optional 512GB RAID0 SSD storage turbo-charges performance even more. Models feature either Intel Iris graphics, or NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M graphics with Optimus technology.

Available in Moonstone White and Sapphire Blue, Zenbook UX301 features 802.11ac Wi-Fi for high-speed wireless data rates, and connectivity options include USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. All models feature a backlit keyboard with automatic light level control and large multi-touch touchpads with full support for Windows 8 gestures. ASUS SonicMaster audio technology is also standard on all models.

ASUS X102BA Ultraportable with 10.1-inch Multi-Touch Display

The X102BA is a compact ultraportable laptop with a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768 display with 10-point multi-touch and Windows 8. The X102BA also features the latest AMD A Series APU and comes bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013.

With a multi-touch digitizer that recognizes a contact point with a mere 5mm diameter, rather than the Microsoft recommendation of 9mm, the XB102BA offers much more sensitive touch input for precise applications, such as drawing and painting. The X102BA also features a large multi-touch touchpad with gesture support and a keyboard.

The ASUS X102BA is powered by an AMD A4-1200 1GHz dual-core APU with Radeon HD 8180 graphics. ASUS Super Hybrid Engine II technology with 'Instant on' provides users with a smartphone-like experience, thanks to a two-second resume from sleep time, over two weeks a standby time and automatic data backup in sleep mode when the battery level drops below 5%.

The X102BA also features USB 3.0, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It is bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 with full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

Transformer Book Trio 'Three-in-One' Ultraportable

The Transformer Book Trio is a new breed of ultraportable device with a two-part dockable design that can be used by one person as a laptop, or by two people as a separate tablet and desktop PC. With the ability to switch between Windows 8 and Android at the press of a button, Transformer Book Trio offers three-in-one flexibility.

ASUS Transformer Book Trio features a metallic design, and is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core processor for energy efficiency in Windows 8 laptop mode. When it?s time for entertainment to take over from productivity, the 11.6-inch display detaches from the 'PC Station' keyboard dock for use as a multi-touch Android tablet with its own Intel Atom dual-core processor and up to 64GB of solid-state storage.

With the display docked, Transformer Book Trio can switch instantly between Windows 8 and Android 4.2 by pressing the dedicated 'Trio' key on the keyboard, with data shared between the two operating system?s via the tablet?s storage. Unlike other dockable ultraportables, Transformer Book Trio?s PC Station isn?t dead weight when the tablet display is detached. With an external display connected via Mini DisplayPort or Micro-HDMI, the PC Station can then be used as a self-contained desktop PC with Windows 8, which means Transformer Book Trio can be used by two people, in two different places, at the same time.

ASUS Transformer Book Trio's 11.6-inch display features a Full HD resolution with IPS technology with wide 178-degree viewing angles. 10-point capacitive multi-touch gives instant fingertip control with both Windows 8 and Android, while the backlit keyboard and multi-touch touchpad ensures comfortable productivity use. With stereo speakers and ASUS SonicMaster audio technology in both the PC Station and tablet, Transformer Book Trio also delivers detailed sound with video, music and games.

With 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 in the PC Station, plus 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 in the tablet display, Transformer Book Trio cuts the need for cables, no matter which mode it's used in. Separate batteries in each part also maximize mobility, and Transformer Book Trio has up to 13 hours battery life in Android mode and five hours in Windows 8 mode.
