"The Assembly" Game Coming On PS4 and Project Morpheus

Sony has just released some information about its first major VR game for PS4 with full support for the Project Morpheus VR headset.

Developed by the nDreams studio, "The Assembly" is a mysterious VR adventure game designed for VR from day one.

The game includes lots of the gameplay mechanics tailored for VR. For example, you get to control two different characters at various points, and in VR, you really notice details like their different heights, sounds and voices. Rather than playing as a silent character, user is playing the role of characters in the story.

The underground world of The Assembly is a secretive collection of scientists, academics and engineers who believe morality in society is preventing scientific advancement and are committed to discovering a universal theory of everything, at any cost.

An early playable demo of the game is showcased to press at E3, but the release sate of the final game is unknown.

VR is going to be big thing in gaming, but most probably in the the next year or two. Facebook's Oculus Rift and Morpheus prototypes will compete with each other, and we are also waiting a word from Microsoft on its VR proposal.

Oculus has some new stuff to show at E3, including an updated version of EVE: Valkyrie, a simple third-person 3D platformer called Lucky's Tale, and VR-enabled ports of the indie game Superhot and Sega's Alien: Isolation.
