Instagram To Open Up Its Advertising Platform

Instagram said on Tuesday that t plans to make its ads available to all types of businesses, not just hand-selected brands.

Instagram said on Tuesday that t plans to make its ads available to all types of businesses, not just hand-selected brands. Facebook's company will start allowing advertisers localize their campaigns based on zip codes and target users based on data like interests, in the same manner that brands can target consumers on Facebook. In addition it will let advertisers link to external websites or app stores with buttons such as "shop now," "sign up," "learn more," and "install now."

The new features will start to roll out this month.
