SanDisk introduced the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II
card, the SanDisk Ultra USB Type-C Flash Drive and its latest generation SanDisk Automotive flash storage solution, an automotive grade SD card.
The new SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II card, available in 64GB and 128GB capacities, delivers transfer speeds of up to 275MB/s to offload high-quality content at record speeds. Featuring Class 10 and UHS Speed Class 3 (U3), the SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II card has been designed for capturing Full HD and 4K Ultra HD video on the latest action cams, drones and smartphones. It also includes a USB 3.0 card reader to conveniently offload files to a PC.
SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II cards are backwards-compatible with UHS-I host devices, performing up to UHS-I speeds. They are also shockproof, temperature-proof, waterproof, and X-ray-proof.
The 64GB and 128GB SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC UHS-II cards feature a lifetime limited warranty, and will be available worldwide in Q2 at U.S. MSRPs of $179.99 and $299.99, respectively.
With up to 128GB, the new SanDisk Ultra USB Type-C Flash Drive gives you lexibility to free up space on USB Type-C enabled smartphones, tablets and computers.
The new SanDisk Ultra USB Type-C Flash Drive delivers USB 3.1 performance of up to 150MB/s. It features a slim, retractable design and is compatible with the SanDisk Memory Zone app for Android. The app, which is available for free through the Google Play Store, auto-launches upon insertion of the drive into a compatible device, allowing access to the user’s content and easy file management.
The SanDisk Ultra USB Type-C Flash Drive features a five-year warranty, and is now available worldwide at Amazon, and other retailers. The new offering comes in capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB with U.S. MSRPs of $19.99, $29.99, $49.99 and $79.99, respectively.
SanDisk has also expanded its offerings of intelligent solutions designed to address the data generated by connected applications in automotive and industrial markets. The company introduced its latest generation SanDisk Automotive flash storage solution, an automotive grade SD card optimized to meet the storage demands of the "connected car".
SanDisk’s newest AEC-Q100 certified SanDisk Automotive SD card enables OEMs to bring reliable and high-capacity data storage to a wide array of in-vehicle applications and systems, such as 3D and HD navigation and mapping systems, data event recorders, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), telematics and more.
The new SD card offers a suite of smart features. These include enhanced power failure protection, a memory health status monitor, OEM customization capabilities, and enhancements for read-intensive applications, such as navigation. Manufacturers can also remotely monitor the removable SD card to ensure that it is operating at its ideal performance level or to identify when card upgrades or replacements are needed.
SanDisk’s new smart features will be available in SanDisk Industrial and SanDisk Industrial XT SD card solutions.
Samples of SanDisk Automotive, SanDisk Industrial and SanDisk Industrial XT SD card solutions will be available in March in the United States and Europe, in capacities up to 64GB.
