Microsoft Says Users Can Still Deny Windows 10 Upgrade

Microsoft says Windows users still can opt-out of upgrading to Windows 10 despite claims the company has made it difficult to do so.

When users are shown a pop-up box asking them to upgrade to Windows 10, there's no clear option to decline the upgrade.

Clicking the red "X'' button in the upper right-hand corner of the pop-up upgrade window, instead of closing the window, they're automatically scheduled for an upgrade.

However, Microsoft says that the sysetm provides users an additional opportunity for cancelling or rescheduling the upgrade, by opening up the Get Windows 10 (GWX) app and select to cancel the scheduled upgrade.

For those who no longer want to receive pop-up notifications for the Windows 10 upgrade offer, they can turn off notifications and hide the GWX app.
