Computex 2017: ASUS unveils new ROG Zephyrus for gaming, Gaming Laptops and Monitors

Today at Computex, ASUS ROG unveiled its latest line-up of gaming gear, including the ROG Zephyrus and Stryx laptops, dessktops and gaming monitros.

Designed for the entusiast gamer, the ROG Zephyrus laptop runs on Windows 10 and the latest Intel Core i7 processor. It also has the highest NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics (GTX 1080) for supreme visuals and is VR Ready.

The ROG Zephyrus has enhanced keyboard features with a new type of trackpad located to the right of the keyboard for ideal gaming usage that doubles as a numeric keypad. The keyboard also has a new feature called ROG Aura that lets you customize dynamic light effects on the WASD and QWER key groups as well as the entire keyboard for customized gaming. It features ultra-slim and portable design at 0.7 inches thick and 4.85 lbs, and has special hinge design that increases air flow to cool and stable gaming marathon sessions.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus features Sonic Studio II, an audio suite that offers 6 audio controls: Reverb, Bass Boost, Equalizer, Voice Clarity, Smart EQ (Smart Volume) and Surround. Surround is dedicated for 2-channel headset and offers one of the best virtual surround technologies for gaming.

The new ROG Strix Series gaming laptops and desktops are tailored specifically to serve the demands of esports contenders, delivering a combination of hardware and software to provide gamers with the tools they need to win.

The 15.6-inch ROG Strix GL503 and the 17.3-inch Strix GL703 laptops are engineered with the newest Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series graphics.

ROG Strix Hero Edition is built from the ground up for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena heroes - optimized to gain a competitive edge in MOBA games such as League of Legends, Dota 2 or SMITE. Strix Hero Edition allows gamers to lead the way armed with powerful Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 10 Series graphics. ROG Strix GL702ZC is the first gaming laptop featuring the AMD Ryzen 7 processor. With a 17-inch, wide-view panel, an anti-ghosting backlit keyboard for fast control, and ROG Gaming Center with a wealth of gamer-oriented features, ROG Strix GL702ZC is a finely tuned weapon backed by eight-core power for gaming.

ROG Strix GL702VI is the gaming laptop that packs NVIDIA GeForce 1080 GTX graphics, Windows 10 Pro, the latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor, and a 120Hz G-SYNC panel.

ROG Swift PG35VQ is a 35-inch UWQHD (3440 x 1440) curved gaming monitor with High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology. It features a 200Hz refresh rate for smooth gaming, while the HDR technology delivers a peak luminance of up to 1000cd/mē. The LED backlight is dynamically controlled across 512 zones to further highlight the subtle differences between white and black hues. Quantum-dot technology provides a wider color space and supports the cinema-standard DCI-P3 color gamut. It also features G-SYNC technology to eliminate screen tearing and to minimize display stutter.

ROG Swift PG35VQ has an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect-ratio curved display. ASUS Aura Sync lighting on the back cover synchronizes with in-game audio, or with Aura Sync-enabled PC components, keyboards and mice.

ROG Swift PG27UQ, a 27-inch monitor, is the very first High Dynamic Range (HDR) gaming monitor to run 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) content at a 144Hz refresh rate.

The LED backlight is dynamically controlled across 384 zones, enabling very high contrast for more natural dark scenes.

Quantum-dot technology supports the cinema-standard DCI-P3 color gamut - which has a 25 percent-wider color range than sRGB - resulting in more realistic colors. In-plane-switching (IPS) technology also gives Swift PG27UQ wide viewing angles. It also features G-SYNC technology and ASUS Aura Sync lighting on the back cover.

ROG Strix XG32VQ is a 32-inch 2K WQHD curved monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 144HZ refresh rate. It features ASUS Aura Sync lighting on the back panel.

The 27-inch ROG Strix XG27VQ gaming monitor also has a curved panel with a super-narrow bezel. It also has a 144Hz refresh rate and a gaming-inspired design.

ROG Strix XG258Q is a 24.5inch Full HD gaming monitor that has a fast 240Hz native refresh rate without overclocking. ROG Strix XG Series gaming monitors feature ASUS-exclusive Extreme Low Motion Blur technology to make objects in motion look sharper. This series also features Adaptive-Sync (FreeSync) technology.

ROG GR8 II 6G

The ASUS ROG GR8 II mini-gaming PC delivers full desktop gaming power, and is the smallest four-liter gaming PC built for VR. This compact PC is equipped with 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and will be updated with a ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB VRAM) graphics card.
