CloneCD / CDMage question

I have a Ricoh RW7040A burner and it doesn't seem to like CloneCD. It seems to work fine until I actually attempt the burn where it will lock up.
CDMage is supposed to fix this by converting one image type to another. If I can't use CCD images. I want to convert them to .iso files.

CloneCD is not like other CDR Software since can read/write DAO-RAW. Ricoh MP7040 doesn't support DAO-RAW so this is the real problem. CDMage cannot help here
