What causes the system to hang during Auto-detection?
This is caused by the BIOS' inability to address the cylinder count on the hard drive. To obtain the full capacity of the hard drive:
  1. Upgrade the system BIOS and/or Motherboard.
  2. Purchase/Install an Enhanced IDE Interface (EIDE) card with an onboard BIOS that provides support for large capacity drives.
