Yamaha 8824S can’t be recognized

:No CDR Programs properly detect my CDR. CDRWin says I don't have any burners on my box, when I do. Nero/DJ detect mine but say a max of 2x write (?). EZ CD creater doesn't recognize it.
OS: Win 2000 Retail
CDRW: Yamaha 8824S
SCSI Card: Tekram 390 PCI

A) try to install the software that came with the drive.
b) update your Tekram SCSI drives
c) If nothing work..Try in other PC to see if the drive really works or it is broken
