Plextor W1210TA slave?

Installed Plex PX-1210TA as the master on the secondary IDE channel. Memorex reader is the slave. Hard drives are master and slave on the primary IDE channel. All works ok until I attempt a shutdown or hard restart. Win98SE shuts down fine but my machine won't power down. Reset button has no effect but to make both CD drives blink like Christmas lights. Only way to restart machine is to disconnect Plex drive reboot shutdown and reconnect it.Seems like the Plex isn't allowing the power off signal to be sent to the motherboard.

Strange problem, try contacting Plextor about the problem.What we have seen is that PX-W1210A has very bad performance when installed as slave.
