Why is DOS/Windows 95/Windows 98 not seeing the full capacity of the drive in FDISK under option 4 for total disk space?
This is a sign that either:
  1. the system BIOS is improperly configured
           -OR-
  2. the BIOS cannot support the full capacity of the hard drive
  • Upgrade the system BIOS and/or Motherboard.
  • Purchase/Install an Enhanced IDE Interface (EIDE) card with an onboard BIOS that provides support for large capacity drives.
