Is it possible for Ricoh MP7040 to be upgraded to the firmware of the Ricoh 7063 or even 7080?

I have a good old Ricoh MP7040-A CDRW and I heard that my drive and the Ricoh MP7060 are physically identical. So I upgraded the firmware with that from the Ricoh MP7060. And so far it works perfectly. s it possible for Ricoh MP7040 to be upgraded to the firmware of the Ricoh 7063 or even 7080 and will I be able to burn at 8X speed?
One more question: is it possible to burn with my Rico in RAW-Mode and how can I enable this feature?

You can not upgrade this drive to mp7063 and also not to the Ricoh 7080. But if you want DAO RAW then you must use the Delta firmware but this firmware is for a 4 x drive so if you use that firmware, then you can not burn anymore at 6x speed but you can burn DAO RAW at 4x speed.
