ASUS has produced a souped up version of the GeForce 6800 targeted at the gaming segment with their V9999GE. Although it has many similarities to the 6800 GT, the GPU is still that of the normal GeForce 6800. Bundled with extensive extras, it's an interesting hybrid with the ASUS-class price.

The Asus Extreme N6600TOP/TD/128M/A is a prime example of manufacturer ingenuity and it's a darn good card too. Based around the GeForce 6600 core, Asus raised the clock speed slightly and equipped the videocard with the same memory that's found on 6600GT class cards, though clocked slightly slower. It uses a GeForce 6600GT reference design PCB and layout so it shouldn't be much of a surprise to see that the card overclocks well. The large aluminum HSF on the core kept it nice and cool and the memory RAMsinks were a nice touch.

While the RADEON X850 XT series of graphics cards are the current performance champion from ATI, they are also priced accordingly at a premium. This makes the former champ, the RADEON X800 XT Platinum Edition worthy of a second look, especially with the greater availability of stocks now. The performance of this card is still considered to be in the very high-end range while prices have dipped slightly since it is no longer the leader board.

On the whole, the ASUS W1J00Ga can truly be called a top-model, as it's not only a stylish and eye-catching device, but also a full-featured entertainment center in an elegant notebook case.

Sporting an unchanged faceplate design from its predecessors, ASUS' newest flagship DVD writer, the DRW-1608P features a boost in DVD±RW and DVD±R DL write speeds, putting 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW and the latest 6x DVD+R DL write speeds comfortably within your reach.

One of the problems we initially faced with SLI was the usage of a 400W PSU to power the entire setup- this was just not cutting it and the lack of availability of a better PSU in the local market had our hands tied. Luckily, we managed to aquire a Enermax 600W PSU and that, along with nVidia releasing the new WHQL passed 71.84 drivers a couple of weeks back, made us decide to re-visit the technology.

As we have seen thoughout this article, the ASUS P5GD2 Premium Wireless Edition has its Pros and very few Cons. The major benefit here is the feature-rich, cadalac series qualities integrated on this motherboard. Features like Triple RAID, support for 12 SATA devices, 8-channel audio, onboard WiFi-g, and Dual Gigabit LAN just are not part of your everyday motherboard. All of these features are very welcome to the market and I'm sure a few of you out there will use this board the way its meant to be run with everything enabled.

ASUS has taken the simple step of updating its already impressive 925X Premium board with this incarnation. It's fast, solid and overclocks well. Users looking to migrate to a 925XE-based platform generally put features above cost. That said, ASUS delivers on most counts. Recommended.

While the S-presso is definitely not the perfect SFF system, it has shown itself to be an SFF system that is worth considering if you're planning to get one. If you are planning to use the SFF system as an entertainment unit for your living room, then the ASUS S-presso might just have what it takes. The ASUS Instant-On capability is a definite plus, as it offers the users the capability to "enjoy TV, DVD, CD, MP3 music and FM radio right away without entering OS," as ASUS claims. The touch-sensitive panel is also a nice touch (pun not intended), creating a very clean look.

The ASUS A8N-SLI proved to be the most stable SLI board in our tests finishing all SLI benchmarks without any instability issues with our 400W PSU which is certainly impressive. It?s also a very feature rich board with two Gigabit LAN controllers and two RAID controllers. ASUS does a nice job with the BIOS as well allowing you to tinker the system to your liking while overclocking was pretty good as well with us reaching 310MHz FSB. Performance is also on par with the rest of the nForce4 boards while packaging is also top notch.
