Things have changed since those days. Personal computers have not only gotten more powerful, but the ability to have them fill holes within our lives has grown. One such niche market appeared with the advent of the HTPC. While maintaining a smaller footprint, this type of modern PC still manages to keep all of the computing power of its bigger brother. As with any new market segment, products have come about to fill this new need, hence the production of HTPC enclosures such as the one we're looking at today. The NZXT Duet is one of the more inexpensive HTPC enclosures on the market, so we want to see if it has the features we want as well as the appearance to set off our home theater/media center.

The NZXT company is young, yet their cases have already gained a solid foot-hold on the market. Today we test the ZERO, a case with a total of seven 12cm fans and a 8cm top mounted fan. Does it move around the floor on its own? Can it double as a hovercraft?

The new Zero case from NZXT has a lot to recommend it. It's a cooling monster without the growls and roars you'd expect from eight case fans. It has a sleek, classic look that doesn't appear to have been inspired by an Anime episode. The Zero will hold plenty of drives and the tool-free features are well designed and executed. The aluminum and plastic construction keep the weight down without sacrificing sturdiness.

There is plenty of room for all of your components, and working inside in the NZXT Zero is quite easy given the space and variety of tool-less features. Once you have all of your components installed there is still a good deal of room which is nice since it makes it more visually appealing and will help the airflow keep the system cool.

The NXZT Lexa case is an excellent case for those wanting plenty of expansion room while wanting a different look than the standard beige case. Aesthetically, the NZXT Lexa case is absolutely beautiful. Positives of the case include an all-aluminum design, resulting in a weight of around 5 Kilograms for the case itself, plenty of expansion room, and plenty of fans included to keep computer components cool.

NZXT has been offering very nice looking midrange cases since their establishment in 2004 and they have decided to enter the high-end market with the Zero Crafted Series. The Zero case is designed to appeal to that group of computer enthusiasts who are looking to provide their case with the maximum amount of cooling without weighting a ton. In addition the NZXT case also features a tool-less drive bay system so many of us who are always swapping out hardware won't be slowed down by screws. So without further delays let's begin our look at the NZXT Zero case.
