The Noctua NC-U6 Heatpipe Chipset Cooler is an excellent choice for those looking for a significant upgrade in the chipset cooling department. It provides excellent performance that would make it appealing to overclockers and gamers, while offering absolutely silent operation that anyone could appreciate, especially HTPC users.

Well Noctua is at it again with a different cooler. This time however it is for your north bridge and not your processor. The NC-U6 looks like a miniature version of the NH-U12F CPU cooler. Sporting a high towering structure, the NC-U6 is bound to take the heat off your chipset. Consisting of twenty-nine aluminum fins and two copper heat pipes will look good doing it. This in turn will aid in a few more megahertz on that new CPU.

They've also left extra space between the tips of the blades and the frame in order to reduce the creation of turbulence and also employed a new self-stabilising oil-pressure bearing (SSO bearing)which they claim "surpasses current types of ball, sleeve or liquid bearings in terms of long-term stability and quietness."

Today we have a review just for those who are looking for some extra cooling for that gaming rig they own. A new company has sent us some very cool coolers to review. This will not be a traditional review like we had in the past; it will be a Flash presentation because you know that many people are just too lazy to read - so we made a small change.

The Noctua NH-U12F is an awesome cooler when it comes to size and weight. Weighing in at 790g, the U12F differs from the older U12 in two areas, one is weight and the second is the U12F comes with Noctua's new NF-12 120mm cooling fan. We will see how the Noctua monster stand up to the two baddest coolers we have tested here at Pro-Clockers.

The Noctua NF-S12 fans are nothing short of amazing products. Performance results through testing against similar products only produces relative results. EMB Papst has specialized, designed and produced fans and blowers for years now and it is quite a feat for a brand new company such as Noctua to be able to match such quality and performance. Not only do these fans perform extraordinarily well, but Noctua has also included an excellent set of accessories including rubber grommets and a 5V fan adaptor.

The Noctua NH-U9 is a 128mm tall heatsink whose aluminum fins are studded with four copper heatpipes. The NH-U9 comes with all the necessary mounting hardware you'll need for Intel or AMD processors, but no fans are included. Mounting clips will allow users to install a 92mm or 80mm fan on either side of the unit if they desire, but we found a single fan more than sufficient for the task at hand. The 38 nickel-plated aluminum cooling fins are connected by four copper heat pipes to a copper base plate that pushes the overall weight to 570grams...

The Noctua NH-U12 is a large 155mm tall heatsink that resembles a Soviet-era apartment block. The Noctua NH-U12 heatsink comes with all the necessary mounting hardware, but no fans are included. Mounting clips will allow users to install a 120mm fan on either side of the unit if they desire, but we found a single 120mm fan more than sufficient for the job. The 38 nickel-plated aluminum cooling fins are connected by four copper heat pipes to a copper base plate that pushes the overall weight to around 700grams...

Noctua, a recent upstart in Austria, has entered the market with two, high performance cooling solutions; the NH-U9 and NH-U12. Both heatsinks utilize 4 dual heat-pipes joined to a copper base and attached to aluminum fins to disperse heat. The only difference between the two units is size; with the NH-U9 accepting 80 and 92mm fans while the larger NH-U12 is designed for use with 120mm fans. While heatpipe technology is nothing new to the cooling industry, the NH-U12 does look to have some of the longest running copper heatpipes I've seen to date. Due to their massive size, both heatsinks can operate without the aide of an attached fan but are capable of utilizing up to two fans for maximum cooling...

A relative new-comer to the heatsink market, Noctua have started on the right foot by embracing the latest technology; heatpipes. Their two latest heatsinks, the NH-U9 and the NH-U12 are the first products we see from this company. With a surface area of 5000cm² (NH-U12) and 3800cm² (NH-U9) and the ability to have either a 120mm (NH-U12) or 92mm (NH-U9) fan coupled with it makes for promising stats, but do the figures relate to high performance?
