For the Syncmaster 2232GW being reviewed today, Samsung took their main 22" LCD panel it already had in stock, covered the normally dull panel screen with glossy covering called MagicClear to enhance picture clarity and contrast and encased it all in a stylish glossy black case. This monitor is marketed to be more than just an excellent LCD monitor, it is also being pushed to be a designer addition to your home or office desktop.

With the XL20, Samsung has clearly tried to bring the benefits of LED backlit displays to a more affordable price point and thereby a greater audience. On that score, it's succeeded admirably. I've never seen an LCD display with colours as rich. If you want access to a wide colour gamut display, without paying earth shattering prices, then right now this is your only choice.

The SGH-U700V is not a huge leap forward from the U600. It adds 3G, but has less memory and no FM radio, and it retains the very irritating touch controls from the earlier model.

There's no denying that you have a lot of options when it comes to selecting an LCD monitor to accompany your computer. Some of these monitors are designed to attract your attention with their exceptional refresh rates, contrast ratios, or viewing angles, whereas others attempt to grab their segment of the market by tossing a mediocre panel into the most attractive-looking package possible. The Samsung SyncMaster 940UX is a 19-inch standard ratio LCD that boasts a feature you probably won't find on most other monitors: it can connect to your computer using USB.

The Samsung SyncMaster 245B is definitely a value focussed 24in display, where hitting a price point was clearly the goal over offering great image quality. If you're looking for a 1,920 x 1,200 monitor for gaming and you're on a very tight budget, then this is definitely an attractive option.

The Samsung Ultra Music F300 is a two-faced delight that packs two heavy functions: MP3 player and mobile communication.

If you are looking for a lightweight MP3 player, Samsung's K3 2GB or 4GB player is worth your consideration. It weighs just 200g, includes a bright OLED screen and proves simple to use.

Samsung's latest family of BW monitors have hit the shelves boasting some impressive new specifications for a monitor in this price range. The one figure that undoubtedly sparks interest in this monitor is the 2ms GTG response time.

The Samsung Digitmax S700 digital camera incorporates some of the features that are not common from the traditional camera makers such as Nikon and Canon. The Digimax S700 may satisfy most users looking for low cost, point and shoot family duties with maximum 7.2 MegaPixels resolution and readily available household AA battery.

So you finally saved up some money to buy your dream home theater system. You have your new 1080p large screen television as wide as a livingroom wall, you have your surround sound system that could rival the noise created by god himself, but you are still missing that final piece to the perfect high definition movie viewing puzzle. As you should know, a standard DVD player would just disgrace your new investment seeing the recent evolution of players has kicked it up a notch to the new HD standard.

Samsung has really earned a reputation for creating world class LCD panels, and the 19-inch SyncMaster 971P TFT-LCD monitor is no exception. Available with either a glossy black or a glossy white casing, the SyncMaster 971P has a lot of fantastic features going for it, including 178-degree viewing angles and a fairly high 1500:1 contrast ratio. But it's not without its faults either. Read on to see if this LCD monitor is worth your hard-earned money.

Samsung's CLX-2160N is truly a mixed bag, while it is competitively priced, serves many functions, network ready, and is easy to use; it falls short when it comes to printing pictures, and especially reproduction of color, which is unfortunately one of the CLX-2160N's main selling points. But while the CLX-2160N is far from a photo printer, its network capabilities, direct USB connection, and multifunction panel make it an excellent home and office printer for documents.

So for mobile devices, look for one already using it or if you're upgrading a recent notebook make sure it's SATA. As far as we're concerned with performance desktops, the alternatives still offer better value and a performance then the SSD. It'll be some time yet before a solid state drive is suitable for desktop systems but considering the rampage of Flash development, it shouldn't be too much longer for us.

But Samsung has gone a step further than many with the tri-band SGH-F300 in creating a device that not only functions as both phone and music player but that has a split personality. Hold it one way round and it looks like an ordinary mobile - albeit with a very tiny screen. Hold it the other way round and it looks like a music player.

Last August we had the privilege of reviewing Samsung's first foray into the Blu-ray Disc player market, the BD-P1000. Nearly one year later, we have Samsung's follow-up, the BD-P1200 to check out. Did this model impress us as much as last time? Read on to find out!
