Swiftech is an institution in the water-cooling field. They are a true pioneer bringing water-cooling into the homes of many countless PC-enthusiasts. Today we review their H20-220 Apex Ultra, a water-cooling kit anyone can love. Based on the APOGEE water block, the kit features a dual 120mm radiator and powerful pump for overclocking performance or can be setup for near silent operation.

The Swiftech Apex Ultra Plus is definitely a fantastic complete water cooling kit. It is a kit meant for the serious enthusiast who intends to run silent or drain every ounce of computing power from their computer system. Overclocking was a great experience that pushed the system in to uncharted territory transforming it in to a new machine. The Ultra Plus has great performance, engineering, and design offering nearly every piece of hardware to work with the latest systems and the test results show it.

All in all I'm very impressed with the Swiftech Apex Ultra H2O-220. The performance is on par with one of the heavy hitters that is commonly pimped by the hardcore overclocking crowd and the quality of the product is exceptional. The added extras do come at a bit of a premium but they're very useful and are commonly something that would be bought out of necessity anyways. The MCW60 GPU blocks are pretty nice by their own right and aside from the problems I encountered while mounting them pre-plumbed I have to say that the mounting system is the best I've seen...

The Apogee is highly recommended and would be an excellent choice for any water cooled rig whether you're operating on a budget or not. The Apogee should prove especially well suited to complex multi-block systems. You can find the Apogee for around $50...

Swiftech has itself another winner here with the H2O-220-Apex Ultra. Ease of setup is of importance to me, and the Swiftech allows this as long as you're patient and don't mind drilling a couple holes into your case.
Both waterblocks I tested were excellent performers, but the added versatility that the Apogee gives you makes it a definite winner. For any enthusiast looking for a high performing solution or a quiet solution that doesn't give up the performance, the H2O-220-Apex Ultra from Swiftech is a very solid choice...

So for those who are looking for something in between the phase change systems and the best water chillers, still want that rig mobile and easily transportable, take a look at this bad boy and give it a try. This kit can run days on end with no adverse effects, no problems and it runs quiet! You will not hear the noises associated with a phase change system nor will you hear anything other than your hard drives and fans. We put our radiator fans on the motherboard power headers so we can control the fan speeds in BIOS, this allows us to conveniently adjust noise over performance by a simple BIOS tweak...

Swiftech, one again, delivers an excellent and user friendly water cooling kit, the H20-120 features high quality components leading to extraordinary performance, allowing overclocks almost on par with sub zero cooling. The included instructions are clear and installation straight forward, even for the most novice of users the whole process will not take too much of your time. Before you know it you will be enjoying low CPU (and GPU) temperatures while the lack of high fan noise will make you focus on those rattling hard drives :-).
