What has 80 amps of current, four 12 volt rails, and looks really sexy? If you guessed the new Ultra 800 watt X-Finity you're absolutely correct. Ultra has made some great products in the past and still do today. Products such as cases, case lighting, and fans for modders as well as quite a few other products such as MP3 players, tools, and even barebones kits. The new X-Finity sure looks sweet right out of the box with its anodized black shell and silver cables. Let's see if the performance backs up the great looks. Today I have the pleasure of reviewing the latest X-Finity PSU that Ultra was nice enough to send us, the X-Finity? 800 Watt PSU w/ Active PFC and, as you will see, she sure does put out. :)

The brushed aluminum front panel gives it a stylish and pleasing look. The E-Torque offers more than acceptable cooling utilizing two 120MM fans and the CPU duct / VGA vents. It also gives the user the 100% tool-less design, which makes installation a breeze.

The Ultra Chill-TEC's control unit does not apply power to the TEC unless the CPU reaches a certain temperature. Up to this point, the CPU is cooled by the heat-pipes on the "cold" side of the TEC. Once the CPU is hot, power is applied to the TEC and the CPU is chilled. The hot side of the TEC is cooled by the second set of heat-pipes.

Today, we want to look at a newly released PC Case. It's called the GRID. It's an ATX Mid-Tower PC Case and comes packed with a wallop and loads of features. Included with the case is a 700W modular PSU. We'll look first at the case and then consider the PSU.

Ultra Products recently released three new versions of the MicroFly case, the BX6, MX6, and SX6. The new versions of the MicroFly still use the same basic layout and structure with a few modifications to the design. The BX6 and SX6 both have a door covering the drive bays, while the MX6's front panel is covered in mesh.

The Ultra MicroFly case is one of the most common SFF (Small Form Factor) cases on the market. It allows for the mounting of a full-size ATX PSU, while other SFF cases have to have to run a smaller PSU. We originally took a look at Ultra's MicroFly back in July of last year. Today we are going to look at one of their latest versions the Ultra MicroFly MX6.

There's little bad I can say about the XPro 600. For a media center PC, it would be an ideal choice, both in its power and size, and in its relative silence. Plenty of connectors for legacy devices is a nice touch, and one that I would like to see other PSU makers implement. Stable voltages make for a great performer, and the glossy housing will look good in any windowed case.

So how did the Ultra X-Pro 800watt power supply do? Price-wise, it's not cheap at $200, but not too expensive either. Performance is good, even with the 12v rails running on the high side. Connectivity is excellent, with plenty of legacy connectors. And, the brushed case looks good, giving the XPro the look of higher-end units. Ultra's AST technology is also a neat tool, and does its' job well.

Overall, the eTorque is a decent case for the money, but a few bad marks bring it down from a Top Rank product. The lack of case fans is something to keep in mind if you're looking at this case, the front panel door doesn't have much room for fan controllers, and the top mounted USB/FireWire jacks all take the eTorque down a few notches.

The Ultra Products ChillTec Thermo Electric CPU Cooler is the first Peltier cooler I have ever used and I have to admit I am impressed by how well it works! Receiving an almost ten degrees Celsius drop in load temperatures can help to prolong the life of a processor, and can be a great asset while overclocking.

While I might prefer a more robust type of player, there are times that a larger player is just too much. This is where the Ultra Products Hydra is a perfect choice. Whether you are out running, biking, sitting by the pool, or working in the hot summer sun; a compact, solid state, and splash resistant player like this will come in very handy.

The review subjects that Ultra have provided us with are the X-Finity 800W APFC and the X-Pro 800W power supplies. The units look great and the numbers sound wonderful, but are they good enough to be your next power supply? Check the next couple of pages and find out.

With systems power consumption becoming more demanding than ever you need a power supply that will deliver the power your system needs. SLI setups, multiple hard drives, and more USB devices require a lot of power to keep them running. Ultra comes to the rescue with it's X-FinityT 800 Watt PSU w/ Active PFC. With Quad Rail, FlexForce Cables, & PFC (power factor correction) the X-Finity is one fine power supply.

What color? What form factor? What style? These are common questions we ask ourselves when looking for the right case. The options are plentiful and growing by the day. Deciding on which case to go with has a lot to do with what you actually plan on doing with the computer. Today we are going to take a look at Ultra's newest case offering the X-Blaster.
