Zalman has been is the business of making heatsinks that do are made to do amazing jobs of reducing heat and maintaining a quiet surrounding. They have come up with a 113mm high heatsink that is specifically designed for use in HTPCs. It may be small, but it does and excellant job of cooling without making to much noise while doing it.

Zalman's new CNPS9300AT heatsink is the companies latest CPU cooler, launched this past June at Computex Taipei where Frostytech first got a glance at it. The CNPS9300AT is constructed from many 0.2mm thin copper fins strung together around two copper heatpipes that are formed into a figure-8 shape. The upper half of the heatsink cradles the fan, the bottom mounts to the processor. It's an elegant thermal solution, and well finished.

Beautiful and silent coolers almost always come at a price, be it money or performance you will never find a cooler that's a looker, quiet and performs well, all for a reasonable price. That said I have a cooler today that professes to have all of these things, looks, good performance and low noise levels. But is this all worth the price?. Introducing the Zalman CNPS9300 AT.

Zalman is back at it again with a new gaming case called the GS1000. The difference between the GS1000 and the GT1000 are as obvious as day and night. The GS1000 is a made of a combination of aluminum, steel and a little plastic. Before we determine what category it falls in we will tell you a little bit more about the case. The case is full size and boasts incredible cable management possibilities and impeccable cooling options. Trust me there are several other features that are unique to the GS1000 but you will have to read on to find out what they are.

I loved Zalman's HD160XT when I got a chance to look at it in early 2007. It was hard for me to imagine that they could improve on it very much. Well, they found a way. Actually a couple of ways. I like the reorganized front panel for the improved access to the control buttons and I/O features. I also think that the change to the iMON software is an improvement, not only for its functionality, but also for the future support and updates that will be available from SoundGraph. Losing fan control and temperature monitoring is a bit of a disappointment, but the fans in the HD160XT Plus are very quiet (at 5V) anyway, and looking back, I don't think I used the temp monitor that much either.

Over the years we have seen the 7000, 8000 and the now current 9000 series. What we are going to review today is not the beginning of the 1xxxx series but a miniature 9xxx called the CNPS9300AT. The little brother boasts some numbers that are more impressive than the bigger brother. Smaller but faster fan. And on load a little louder. Now that we got the numbers out of the way time to see how this little booger does on the test bench.
