Today we take a look at a new socket 1366 motherboard from Asus. This new board seems to be the new Core i7 badboy from Asus, it is available in different versions that come in different prices. This seems to aim itself vs overclockers mainly and it also has a quite high pricetag of 270$. Lets see how this board will perform and we will also try to boost our Core i7 a bit to see what features this board can offer.

One of Asus' recently released displays is the Asus VH242H 23.6-inch widescreen LCD Monitor. The "V" in the product name indicates that it is a "value" model--in other words, it is a budget display. But even with a budget price tag of $249 and using inexpensive thin-film-transistor twisted-nematic (TFT-TN) display technology, the VH242H offers features and performance that you would expect from more-expensive displays. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to find many 24-inch or 23.6-inch LCD display at this price point.

The ASUS EAH4550 is a half-height entry level videocard suitable for small form-factor, book size and home theatre PCs users that desperately want a dedicated HDMI jack on the cheap. To be frank, the only reason PCSTATS is devoting pixels to this $50 dollar, PCI Express videocard is because it offers very affordable HDMI video and audio which is fully HDCP compliant. That's something a DVI-to-HDMI adaptor will not do. Not everyone can afford $600 monster videocards after all.

Last week at Tech-Reviews we reviewed Asus? Silent Knight II CPU cooler; today we have another Asus CPU cooler for review: the Asus Axe Square. As I'm sure you're fully aware, the computing industry has evolved massively in the last few years. One form of product which has seriously advanced - to keep up with the newer processors - is the CPU cooler. This product has not just developed in terms of cooling the CPU to lower temperatures, it's also improved in design and not to mention, noise. Today, we have a seriously 'class' cooler for review, the Asus Axe Square? shouting royalty all round and kindly donated by QuietPC.

The new ASUS VH242H 24-inch LCD monitor falls into this kind of philosophy. Instead of the conventional 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio that we see with most computer monitors, this screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, the same that you?d find with the HDTV in your living room. In this way, it?s a perfect fit for multimedia and gaming applications. You can actually watch your DVDs in a full-screen format and play your Xbox 360 games without a stretched image or that annoying letterbox effect. As expected, the specifications are able to run the gamut for most consumers as well, while maintaining a sleek and simple appearance that will fit in with any decor.

It wasn't more than a few months ago that Benchmark Reviews tested the ASUS BC-1205PT Blu-ray Drive, which was proven to be a future-proof asset with the format war recently ended in favor of BD media. But sometimes technology isn't adopted quite as fast as we might think, because in the age of Blu-ray there are people out there who still haven't made the transition into a DVD-burner. Unlike CDs and DVDs, Blu-ray Disc isn't in every household, and since music and movies seem to work perfectly well on the older platforms there might not be any real need for such a premium storage device.

On the test bench at PCSTATS today is the ASUS VH242H 23.6" (hereafter 24") widescreen LCD display. This LCD computer monitor features a 16:9 aspect ratio and native resolution of 1920x1080 pixels that goes hand in hand with 1080p HD content oh so nicely. Put another way, the viewable area is roughly two and a half sheets of 8.5x11" paper taped together if you want to compare it to your current monitor. The 24" panel has an anti-reflective coating and features a brightness rating of 300 cd/m2, dynamic contrast of 20,000:1 and the industry standard 5ms G-to-G pixel refresh time.

The Eee Top ET1602 builds upon Asus' popular line of Eee-branded products by introducing an all-in-one desktop form factor, complete with a 15.6" touch screen. Like the Eee PC netbooks that preceded it, the Eee Top ET1602 is built around Intel's low-power Atom platform, with the 945 GSE chipset. Other features include an integrated webcam and 802.11n Wi-Fi, 4W speakers with SRS Premium Sound enhancement, and a flash memory card reader. At about $599, the Eee Top ET1602 is relatively expensive considering its performance, but its integrated touch screen and proprietary Asus Eee applications help to somewhat justify the investment for a system that offers such ease of use and innovative touch interface features...come on by the site and check it out...

The past few weeks have been a pleasure to use the ASUS N10Jc-A1 Netbook as toting around a 17" screen laptop has really become a chore over the years. Never again will I need to walk out of the house with a clunky laptop when I can just grab a 3-4 pound netbook. The ability to take an inexpensive, fully functional PC on the road is only part of what is making the netbook market explode right now. The other part is the state of the economy. Given the current recession, consumers are looking for more affordable ways to get an upgrade or satisfy their electronics addiction. The performance of the ASUS N10Jc-A1 was actually a little more than I expected...

Launched last summer by Intel, the P45 chipset has quickly grown in popularity, replacing the aging P35 chipset. Today we have a look at what is dubbed as a power saving motherboard that is also capable of above average performance. The Asus P5Q3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP @n (what a long model name) is an Intel P45 chipset based motherboard with DDR3 memory and ATi's CrossFireX technology support. This variant of the P5Q3 Deluxe motherboard comes bundled with WiFi hardware, hence the extra long model name.
