It's been ages since we've last reviewed some RAM. Memory modules are always interesting products to review -- and from that sense we actually have two RAM reviews in addition to this one coming up within the next month or so; in which one is provided by A-DATA and the second one coming from Super Talent. That aside, what's important is that we'll be taking a look at OCZ's Platinum PC3-12800 Enhanced Bandwidth Edition 2x1GB DDR3 memory (Long name, isn't it?). Yes, that's right -- our first spotlight review on next-generation DDR3 RAM. Last month, we compared the DDR3 Asus P5K3-Deluxe against its DDR2 counterpart, the Asus P5K-Deluxe, as well as benchmarks done on this very pair of RAM in our Asus P5E3-Deluxe/WiFi-AP@n motherboard review last week. Needless to say, we've got tons of experience with these OCZ modules -- and today we'll tell you everything we know about it. Hardware attributes, benchmarks, overclocking, you name it!

With systems with multiple video cards requiring more power everyday, 1,000 W power supplies are becoming very common. OCZ has released a new 1,000 W product in the market, ProXStream 1000 W, targeted to power-hungry consumers that are willing to put three or four high-end video cards (this unit has four six-pin VGA power connectors) and several hard disk drives inside their systems. What is really different about this power supply compared to other 1,000-watt units around is it uses a small form factor, being at the same size of any standard ATX power supply, due to its interesting internal design using two printed circuit boards stacked. We completely disassembled this new unit from OCZ to see how it looks like inside and what design and components were used.

I don't know anyone nowadays who doesn't own at least one flash drive for their important documents, financial data, passwords, or family photos - to name a few. The technology has been around for several years now, but many of them lack from slow data transfer rates to shotty construction that reduces their life spans. Some users consider their flash drives to be the "life blood" of their existence, and they need their flash drive to be able to handle the rigors that every day life will throw at them. Today we have the OCZ Technology 4GB ATV Turbo USB 2.0 Flash Drive on our test bench. OCZ claims this drive can handle data transfer rates up to 35MB per second. That's insane! Let's test that claim in our review today.

PC2-5400 (DDR2 667MHz) memory is probably far from the minds of computer enthusiasts, as DDR2 and DDR3 have advanced to much higher speeds. But OCZ Technology has a PC2-5400 product that just might appeal to those with a compatible system looking for a serious upgrade in the memory department! The OCZ Technology 4GB PC2-5400 Vista Upgrade Edition DDR2 kit provides two 2GB modules rated at 5-5-5-15 timings that could easily breathe new life into a 'late model' AMD AM2 or Intel based system.

Browsing around the likes of Newegg and other major online retailers the cheapest you will see a set of DDR3 at two gigs would just under $350. Like all new things, you will pay a premium for it. But with the premium comes some incredible bandwidth as well. Most enthusiasts will tell you that bandwidth is not everything, latencies and timings plays a major role in performance as well. In the end however, you cannot stop technology. So, DDR3 is in and DDR2 is on its way out the door. One company that is always one of the first to do anything new when it comes to ram is OCZ. OCZ for the most part has dominant the DDR and DDR2 scene. Chances are that they will be there right in the middle of the DDR3 movement as well. To get the movement started OCZ has been cool enough to send us over some DDR3-1333MHz for initial testing. 1333MHz is the lowly ends of the DDR3 spectrum as well, there are already samples of DDR3-1800 surfacing. For starters let us introduce you to the OCZ DDR3 PC3-10666 Gold Edition. 1333MHz speed and some relaxed timings of 9-9-9-26 is what you get with the new kit.

USB flash memory has recently been tumbling down in price, and now you can carry around all of your important files for less than £20. That said, most budget drives hide a substantial issue; speed. If you are routinely copying large files, a slow transfer rate can mean the difference between going to the pub and staying at the office for an extra 5 minutes. A serious problem indeed. Due to the drop in price, faster drives are also available for more accessible prices featuring larger sizes too. Today I have the OCZ ATV Turbo 4GB USB drive that should be able to store your stuff and make transferring a quick job.

OCZ's new DDR3 1800 memory kit is geared towards early adopters, overclockers and enthusiasts that always want to have the latest and the greatest. We tested the 2 GB kit and were surprised how well balanced overclocking is. You are free to run aggressive CL5 timings at lower clocks or go full out, up to 1850 MHz.

Eventually DDR3 memory will take over the memory market but it will still take a while before DDR3 memory adoption will rise - the price will have to go down first. One of the memory series you might want to consider if you're going to buy a high-performance memory kit today is OCZ's Flex XLC. In this review I'm taking a look at the 800MHz version which runs at CL3 timings. The DDR2 FlexXLC memory series from OCZ is designed for watercooled systems and features four products: 800MHz memory with 4-4-4-15 timings, 800MHz with 3-4-4-15 timings, 1150MHz with 5-5-5-18 timings and 1200MHz with 5-5-5-18 timings.

In America we know that excess is never enough. The technology industry provides us with portable solid-state disks that can hold every Atari 2600 cartridge ever created, and that still isn't enough. We take these little gadgets with us everywhere, and I should know as I've destroyed more USB drives than the company's Quality Control department. OCZ is here to save the day with their ATV line of Flash drives. Not only is it completely waterproof, but its squishy rubber coating makes it so impact-resistant that it actually bounces. On top of all that, this drive comes in large 4GB and 8GB capacities and utilizes dual-channel technology.

CPU cooling is one of the most important areas a PC user must look at when building a computer. OCZ has combined an efficient heatpipe design with a low speed fan to offer a quiet yet effective cooler option for users that does not require the use of a back plate to mount.

Extreme gamers and hardware enthusiasts are demanding more power from their machines. Quad-core CPUs and multi-GPU setups make for extreme gaming (and extreme heat), and require a solid power supply that can deliver near-nuclear energy for today's demanding number-crunchers. There are several 1000 Watt power supply units available today to meet the growing need for this extreme hardware. As Uncle Ben said, "with great power comes great responsibility", so you should only trust your expensive components to quality name-brand power supplies. One of the best values you can get today comes from OCZ's ProXstream 1000W power supply, which is one of the most inexpensive Kilowatt units you can buy today, but has the quality innards that let you sleep well at night.

Ever since Intel released the 3 series chipset, DDR2 has had the wind taken from its sails so that DDR3 could make waves. This was meant with the best intentions, but as DDR3 was released to the public it didn't take long for people to realize it was still too immature to compete against DDR2 in regards to performance. This put the weight of the world back on the shoulders of DDR2, which has just earned a reprieve from execution. But now that manufacturers are tooling up for DDR3 production, there are only a few names remaining on the shrinking list which are still releasing high-performance system memory for the DDR2 platform. OCZ recognizes that DDR2 has performance potential left in it, and offers the 1150MHz PC2-9200 2GB Reaper HPC OCZ2RPR11502GK DDR2 RAM Kit to Benchmark Reviews for testing.

OCZ plays the high-end game almost exclusively, and has innovation and performance marks to back up the company's rep. Given all that, their Platinum series is about as vanilla as they scoop. No SLI EPP features, no Vista certification, no extreme heatspreaders or water blocks; just sleek, downright minimalist looks, and a bar they, themselves, have set high.

Memory maker OCZ added two new flash drives to their lineup last month; the ATV and ATV Turbo. Both drives are designed to keep your data safe even under the most extreme conditions. The rugged ATV Turbo has a rubber waterproof housing and should be pretty fast too.
