The Thermaltake Big Typhoon is known for being one of the top-performing air coolers out there. Now Thermaltake has released a smaller, lighter cooler called the Mini Typhoon which is is supposed to offer the best features of the Big Typhoon at a fraction of the cost. Can six heatpipes and a 92mm fan keep your CPU cool? Read on...

Thermaltake is a world leader in the production of computer enclosures and cooling accessories. They have demonstrated this time and time again with excellent products like the Shark case and the Big Typhoon heatsink. Products like these have made Thermaltake the talk of a lot of forums and conversations. Today, Thermaltake was nice enough to send over that newest PC case titled the Armor Junior. Will this case continue Thermaltake's legacy? Read the review and found out for yourself...

Thermaltake have really got a great kit out now for top end H2O cooling. The Thermaltake Bigwater 745 delivers the performance and doesn't make much noise. With a dual and single radiator and only one block, it is a bit overkill, and this kit is just screaming for a GPU block or two - which can be ordered separately. I would even consider not using the single rad if I could mount the dual internally, but that would depend on the system performance. If the single isn't necessary, hell, just ebay it!

The Armor in steel is insanely heavy. We're talking close to 40 pounds here. A built system in this case tips the scales at close to 70 pounds. In my opinion this case really needs to be available in aluminum only but I'm biased, I have a bad back so picking up and toting around a 70 pound PC is a no-no. The ability to hide wires is hampered by the full 5.25" bay design but the flexibility is enhanced by it so it balances out there. The mostly decorative blowhole is a minus as is the lack of options on the PSU positioning. There is the lack of a removable motherboard tray but due to the huge size of the case (It's even EATX capable) dropping in an ATX mobo is no problem, even with the water cooling kit installed so that balances out...

Thermaltake provides the Tai-Chi in two versions, one with pre-installed water cooling and one without. Obviously the water-cooling equipped Tai-Chi comes with a hefty price tag and is one of the most expensive cases. Gazing at this behemoth one would expect it to do laundry too, however everything I wash turns pink even the poka dots. So after having to explain to the kids we didn't get a new TV I lugged the box indoors. Time to see what's inside the crate and makes this the top of the line Thermaltake offers...

Today at Xtremecomputing I will be taking a look at Thermaltake's latest watercooling accessory - the Aquabay M4 - which is a H2O cooler for hard-disks. I am filled with a combination of dread and expectation. Is there really a need to water cool hard drives? My instant answer is 'No', however thinking again there are some drives out there like the Western Digital Raptors running at 10000 rpm and some 15000 rpm SAS drives which could definitely benefit from extra cooling. So let's get on and see what it's all about...

The Tenor is ThermalTake's initial foray into the flourishing world of Home Theater PC's. Right off the bat, some of you may quickly recognize the many similarities between this case and their ever popular Tsunami Dream. Both are built with a sturdy steel chassis combined with an aluminum front panel; plus they also stuck with the same "wave" looking design. Given this information, logic would follow that the performance of the Tenor should match that of the Tsunami Dream. Let's find out, shall we?

After spending a couple of weeks with Thermaltake's new Matrix VX chassis, I must say that I'm pretty impressed. It delivers on its promises of lightweight and solid construction while exhibiting great performance and good looks as well. If a light, mid-tower chassis is high on your list of hardware for a new build or upgrade, don't overlook the Matrix VX...

When silent is golden, the options that we have to cool our processors and video cards are becoming more and more numerous. No matter the performance level there is something out there for you. If you are looking to overclock the mess out of your CPU have can have the Big Typhoon. If you want to just have a small cooler to use for a HTPC or something like that you can get our next product up for review, the Silent Boost RX K8 from Thermaltake...

...Well to be honest after using a modular I really expected to be biased against any non modular I looked at again but after testing this PSU I am not so sure no more. Don't get me wrong I love the modular concept and will probably change back to modular. But not until I get one as solid as this. Don't get me wrong the modular PSU's I have looked at have been solid. But for me as I mentioned in the testing "with the max and average voltage being closer across the board than on most PSU results I have seen" has convinced me that until I get one that can do this. This is staying put in my system, an excellent solid PSU from Thermaltake and highly recommended...

...I've had the privilege to use and review more than a few high-end (and high-cost) power supplies. None of them have impressed me as much as the new Purepower 600W from Thermaltake. Granted, I haven't looked at every PSU on the market, but after putting the 600W through its paces, I'd have to say that I can recommend it highly for its performance, features, appearance and price point. Thermaltake's 3-year warranty and eRMA service only sweetens an already good deal. If you need a PSU for a new build, or looking to upgrade, do yourself a favor and seriously consider the 600W. I think you'll be glad you did...

With the Silent Boost RX K8, Thermaltake has targeted the user who values compactness and silence over maximum effort cooling. For example, this would be an excellent choice for a home theater PC where space is always an issue and quiet cooling is a necessity. Modestly priced and widely available, the RX K8 shouldn't be overlooked when choosing components for that specialty PC that may be in your future...

There are so many CPU coolers on the market, it's very hard to choose. Some may cool well but look horrible, but not so for the Blue Orb II from Thermaltake! Let's jump into the review and see how this cooler compares to previous ones we've looked at...

The Thermaltake Purepower Power Station 520W PSU implements a unique modular design that improves cable management and its solid stability with an average system shows no signs of weakness to the point that I would recommend this unit for a mainstream SLI or Crossfire gaming rig...

TT Tide Water is a perfect solution for completely silent cooling of even the hottest video cards on the market today with the option of turning it into an all out performing cooling monster with the sacrifice of a few decibels. The ease of installation makes it perfect for any and all users and if you are comfortable changing your CPU heatsink and fan then the TT Tide Water install will be like eating a piece of cake at a 12 year olds birthday party...
