Seems like there's always something new coming from the folks over at Thermaltake. It's no wonder, with an ever-expanding product line that now includes air and liquid cooling, computer cases, power supplies, external storage enclosures and fans and other case accessories. Today I'll be taking a look at the LANbox, a small form factor, portable "cube" case from their desktop series.

LAN parties and events have becoming more and more popular. I remember going to my first LAN event over 5 years ago. I think there were around 10 of us, but it still was great fun. Now LAN events have attendances of over 1000 gamers. The biggest problem I had with going to LAN events was lugging all my gear there. I often ended up breaking something on my case or something inside of it. Well Thermaltake is here to make things easy for you. They have recently released the LanBox case, which is a small form factor (SFF) case that is made just for LAN parties. Let's take a look!

The rear exhaust fans draw air in through vents on either side and the top, while the intake fan helps out by pushing filtered air in through the front. Despite the dual 60mm exhaust fans and the one 90mm fan in the front, the Thermaltake LANBOX VF1000BWS mATX Case remains extremely quiet while providing sufficient cooling to the internal components.

Thermaltake has a real gem in the Lanbox chassis. The design and styling elements join to produce a small, portable case that not only performs very well, but also is relatively easy to work in, given the space limitations. And, it looks as good as it performs. Its sleek, classy look garnered a lot of attention around here, and it's easy to see why. The all aluminum construction keeps the Lanbox light while the modular design keeps it strong.....
