Apacer's New DDR2 800 Unbuffered 512MB and 1GB Memory Modules
Apacer Technology is releasing DDR2 800 unbuffered 512MB and 1GB memory modules that are designed to work with Intel Broadwater 965, 975 series and AMD Socket AM2 solutions for high performance desktop systems.
These JEDEC-compliant memory modules use Samsung advanced 64M x 8 FBGA chips with 90ns access times and assembled with a 6-layer PCB. All these factors contribute to higher bandwidth speeds up to 6.4GB/s and up to 12.8GB/s for dual channel operation.
Apacer?s DDR2 800 memory modules utilize 1.8 volt operation to reduce power consumption, which is 50% lower than DDR-based 2.5 volt memory. In addition, using advanced FBGA (Fine-Pitch Ball Grid Array) packaging technology brings significant thermal reduction and electrical performance gains. DDR2 uses On Die Termination (ODT) technology, providing improved system timing and increased signal quality by attaching a termination resistor to lower noise generated during high speed data transfer. This improves signal integrity at higher clock rates as well as realizes higher clock frequencies. These new DDR2 modules are the best choice for users wanting maximum performance in their high end desktop platforms.
According to Apacer?s DRAM Director, Grace Lo, Apacer DDR2 800 512MB and 1GB memory modules combine all the advantages of advanced Samsung FBGA package technology, 6-layer PCBs, JEDEC standard compliance and the best technical support from IC manufacturers. Plus, Apacer implements the most updated manufacturing technology and methods as well as applies strict QC and performance testing to increase quality during production. Already approved by the major motherboard makers for compatibility and dual channel testing, Apacer?s DDR2 800 unbuffered 512MB and 1GB memory modules offer the best memory solution for high performance desktop computers.
