ArcSoft Announces the Release of ArcSoft VideoImpression Mobile Edition

ArcSoft Announces the Release of ArcSoft VideoImpression Mobile Edition

Smartphones Nov 15,2004 0

Today, ArcSoft(R), a leading developer and provider of digital media software and firmware solutions for PC, PC-peripheral, mobile phone, consumer electronics and home entertainment manufacturers, announced the availability of ArcSoft VideoImpression(R) Mobile Edition. VideoImpression -- already a successful desktop application -- introduces itself into the mobile world, offering clever, simple video editing and creation capabilities. Users can now capture and edit movies directly on their mobile phones and PDAs. Video clips can then be shared with others through a variety of file transfer services available on mobile devices.

"Given VideoImpression's success with amateur users on the desktop, it seemed natural to port the application to the mobile phone category," said Todd Rumaner, ArcSoft COO. "It effectively combines comprehensive features with incredible usability -- two fundamental components for mobile applications. Consumers want powerful programs that are easy and fun to use; VideoImpression offers these things."

VideoImpression Mobile Edition offers many of the essential features found in its desktop predecessor. Video capturing and trimming can be done directly on the phone with simple controls. Videos can be combined together into single clips, with text added at any point for titles, video details, captions, credits, etc. The text can even be animated.

Key Features:

-- Video Capturing -- Users can capture video directly on their mobile device.
-- Movie Making -- Multiple video clips can be combined to create a seamless movie.
-- Video Trimming -- Unwanted sections of captured video can be removed in seconds.
-- Text Editing -- Text can be added to video...perfect for captions, quotes, titles, and credits.
-- Sharing -- Send and receive movie clips and finished movies via e-mail, IR, BT, MMS or any other method supported by the device.
